This is a basic step 1 step 2 Picasa tutorial that might get you going if need be.

Open Picasa

1. Conect your camera to the computer with the USB cable that came with your camera.
2. Some computers have a slot where you can insert your memory card, dispensing with the cable.
3. Turn your camera on.
4. When your camera has connected with Picasa you should see your photos on the left hand side.

5. idual photos you want to upload to the computer by holding down the control key and clicking on the image. Do this with each photo.
6. Name the folder at the bottom of the screen.
7. Select ‘Upload selected photos’, OR select ‘Upload all’.

The Library

When you have imported your photos by following the above, only then can you edit,
email, collage and print your photos in Picasa.

1. Double click on the photo you wish to edit. This will bring you in to the ‘Basic Fixes’ page, where you can change the image to Black/White, Crop, Enhance or change the scale of the picture.
2. Once you have prepared your images, you can select how many you want to collage. You can do this by using ‘control’ and click. Then select the ‘Collage’ button and your images will come in to the collage menu.
3. In the ‘Collage menu you will find several different collage styles to choose from, when you hit the little dropdown arrow. Simply select the style you wish and Picasa will do the rest.
4. You can change your mind and alternate between the different styles.
5. When you are happy with how it looks, hit the ‘Save Collage button and your collage creation will be saved.

Picasa 3.8

This is a link to a site that provides you with the Picasa 3.8 software. As far as I can see this is for the Windows platform.
You can also see a link further down the page offering a free plug which will let you upload directly to Flickr ( provided you are registered with Flick) from Picasa. First steps first though, set up Picasa get used to it by playing around with it.

Introducing Picasa 3

Here is pretty straightforward tutorial to Picassa. Remember you first have to download the free software from the net. It will then stay on your computer for you to use just like any other software application. When downloading it will ask you to set up Web albums with Picassa. I didn't bother with this but that is up to yourself. I will post the download link as well. Have fun with it, once you get going its a nice easy tool to use.

Picas is a nice simple editing tool you can use to edit photos, create collages,posters, flyers and CD covers.
Download Picasa free from the web once it is installed it is yours to with it as you wish.
